Bonner Black began her life on stage as a classical ballerina as a senior member of the Academy of Classic Arts in Huntsville Alabama. She won scholarships to dance with the Eglevsky Ballet in New York City along with several prestigious professional companies, but in 2012 she decided to move to Nashville and pursue her dream of being a songwriter. She began writing and performing at places like The Blue Bird Café, The Listening Room, and 12th Porter in the first year living in Nashville. In 2014 she started a southern rock girl band that performed all over the southeast region opening for The Band Perry, Big Smo, Shooter Jennings, and The Bellamy Brothers. In 2016 Bonner restarted her solo career released her first EP, “Reason or Rhyme” in June, and was asked to perform at The Time Center in New York City by the Oxford Center of Entreprenuers where she was awared the 2016 Artist Entreprenuer award. Her writing, mostly solo, has raw southern roots, strong classic rock&roll melodies, with simple poetic lyrics that never detour from the truth.
